Event Details
Do you have surplus craft supplies? Want to explore a new hobby, medium, or material? Bring your partially used beading, fiber, or paper craft supplies to the Help Desk June 24-27 and receive a ticket. Bring that ticket to the library on Saturday, June 28, 1-3 pm to “shop” for new-to-you craft supplies! All remaining materials become available to the public from 3 to 4 pm, after the swap.
Craft Swap Rules:
· Contribution limit: Maximum of 2 large boxes or bags of items can be dropped off (June 24-27).
· "Shop" limit: Maximum of 2 large boxes or bags used to “shop” (June 28, 1 - 3 pm). Unlimited shopping runs 3-4 pm.
· All items should be in good, ready-to-use condition.
· No paint, glue, or other liquids unless they are unopened.
· Items must be clean and free from odors.
· Craft kits must be unopened.
· Only unused painting supplies (canvases, paints, brushes) are accepted.
· Please do not mix items (i.e., if donating loose stickers and beads, please put the stickers in one container and beads in a separate container).
· Messenger Public Library reserves the right to keep, donate, or recycle any donated craft items that do not follow guidelines listed above or are not swapped by the end of the program on June 28, 2025.
Suggested Craft Supplies for the Swap:
· Fabric, sewing/embroidery thread, and notions
· Paper crafting/scrapbooking/rubber stamps
· Adult craft kits (unopened)
· Children’s craft kits (unopened) and supplies
· Jewelry making materials and tools
· Yarn, hooks, needles
· Quilling paper and tools
· Unused painting supplies: paints, brushes, canvases
