Purpose of Meeting
The Youth Scientific Literature Program is a program that teaches middle and high schoolers how to read and interpret scientific papers. Each meeting, a guest PhD student or college professor will breakdown a scientific paper from a high school journal, with a new scientific field being explored each week. Participants will also have the option to participate in the scientific research process themselves, in a topic of their interest, by compiling a literature review under mentorship. The Youth Scientific Literature Program meets on Sundays from 2-3pm in the Tinker Room, with meetings occurring twice a month. The program is open to all those from ages middle to high school.
